D Premier Division / Division 1 Champion of State Pennant (i) Will be open to the winners for the current season of:- (a) the Metropolitan Premier Division Pennant Competition; (b) the Metropolitan Division 1 Pennant Competition; (c) the play off within each Country Group between the Division 1 winners of each Country Association, except that, where there is a Combined Premier Division between two or more Country Associations, the winner of the Premier Division will play off against the Division 1 winner of its Country Association for the right to represent the Association in the Group play off. (ii) There will be 10 Sides in the event. (iii) Each Side will consist of 16 players. (iv) Play will be conducted in two sections of five Sides. (v) Sides will be placed in sections by open draw. (vi) During sectional play the Sides with the bye in each section will play against each other and the result will count towards the final result of the competition. (vii) The winner of each section will be decided in accordance with Rule for Competition 4A. (viii) Section winners will play off for first and second positions. (ix) The Sides finishing second in each section will play off for third and fourth positions. (x) All matches will be of 15 ends per rink with a time limit of 2 ½ hours with a final of 18 ends per rink or as otherwise determined by the Match Committee. 16 Revised October 2009
